Antonio Montero y Fátima Ouhaddou no dan lugar a sorpresas ganando la XXII Carrera Popular de Lucena

El lucentino Antonio Montero, del Club Trotasierra de Hornachuelos y la magrebí Fátima Ouhaddou, del Club Amo Allá de Aguilar de la Frontera fueron los triunfadores de la XXII Carrera Popular Ciudad de Lucena, prueba puntuable para el Circuito Provincial de Carreras Populares Diputación de Córdoba.

Ambos atletas demostraron en esta carrera su excelente momento de forma, lo están ganado todo en los últimos meses, al imponerse claramente al resto de corredores, algo más de cuatrocientos participaron en la carrera reina. Antonio Montero se paseó literalmente en su ciudad logrando un triunfo claro ya que, con un tiempo de 31 minutos en los diez kilómetros del recorrido aventajó en más de 3 minutos a Pedro Catena, segundo, y Gregorio Aguilera, tercero. Algo parecido hizo Fátima Ouhaddou en el apartado femenino ganado aún con más autoridad. Su tiempo de 36 minutos y 8 segundos fue completamente inalcanzable para Carmen Almagro, segunda con 41:04, y Sigrid Averland, tercera con 41:09.

Posteriormente se llevó a cabo la carrera de cadetes y juniors donde se impusieron respectivamente Juan Carlos Jiménez y Lucia Varo. Para cerrar la matinal del domingo, se celebró la carrera para personas
