Una concentración de la Comunidad de Regantes Paño Cabezas exige el uso de las aguas no reguladas de invierno

Miembros de la Comunidad de Regantes Paño Cabezas de Jauja han llevado a cabo una concentración esta miércoles en esta aldea de Lucena para reivindicar el uso de 1 hectómetro de agua diario proveniente de las aguas no reguladas de invierno que circunda por el río Genil.

 

Más de doscientas personas han secundado esta concentración que se iniciaba desde el puente sobre el Genil, en el límite con la sevillana población de Badolatosa , a través de la zona de “Las Revueltas y por las calles Molino y Ronda hasta el Ayuntamiento de la pedanía.

 

El presidente de la Comunidad de Regantes Paño Cabezas, Eduardo Gómez , ha estado acompañado por el alcalde de Lucena , Juan Pérez , al pedáneo de la Jauja , Rafael Gómez y varios portavoces de los distintos grupo políticos lucentinos  y miembros de distintos sindicatos.

 

Eduardo Gómez ha exigido el “poder utilizar un hectómetro de la aguas no reguladas de invierno”. Manifestaba que “la comunidad de regantes lleva más de dos años constituida y forman parte de ella 240 vecinos, pequeños propietarios de una aldea de 1.000 habitantes a los que la sequía viene haciéndole inviables su cultivos, entre ellos el olivar tradicional de secano en laderas pronunciadas, del que 843 hectáreas precisan del agua para no desaparecer ”.

 

Insiste en que “llevamos dos años sin respuestas mientras vemos como el 50% del agua de las aguas no reguladas de invierno se van directamente al mar y mientras nuestros jóvenes se ven obligados a emigrar”. Eduardo Gómez señala que nadie nos ha dicho que no sea viable nuestra solicitud, solo que mientras no se modifique la Ley de Aguas , nuestra propuesta no puede concretarse”,

 

Gómez ha pedido que “tome nota sobre esta exigencia Confederación Hidrográfica , así como a la Ministra de Transición Ecológica, Teresa Rivero, para que de respuesta a un problema que nos lleva al abandono de nuestra pequeña fuente de ingresos y trabajo”.

 

El alcalde de Lucena , Juan Pérez , ha manifestado que “se trata de un tema de vital importancia para la aldea de Jauja, donde la economía del olivar es la principal fuente de ingresos de estos pequeños agricultores y de no dar solución a esta petición se producirá  un incremento de la despoblación”.
