Servicios Sociales y Salud pone en marcha el programa de prevención sobre los efectos del calor

Desde el 1 de junio y hasta el próximo 30 de septiembre se mantendrá activo el Plan Andaluz de Prevención contra los efectos de las altas temperaturas en Lucena tras la protocolaria reunión de la Comisión local que se encarga de velar cada verano por la salud de los ciudadanos como consecuencia de la subida de las temperaturas.

El programa, coordinado por las Consejerías de Salud e Igualdad y Bienestar Social de la Junta de Andalucía y la Delegación Municipal de Servicios Sociales, junto con los centros de salud, Policía Local y Cruz Roja, tiene como finalidad prevenir problemas sanitarios entre la población de riesgo y colectivos vulnerables, entre los que se encuentran niños menores de 5 años, trabajadores expuestos al sol y mayores de 65 años, personas que viven solas, padecen patologías crónicas y no tienen sistemas de refrigeración en sus hogares.

Durante este periodo, se produce un aumento de las visitas domicialiarias a este colectivo en situación de riesgo. El dispositivo establece cuatro niveles de intervención con el objetivo de adaptar los recursos a las temperaturas registradas. En este sentido, el nivel cero o verde se mantiene mientras no se superen las temperaturas permitidas; el nivel amarillo o de riesgo se activa cuando aumenta el calor uno o dos días; el nivel naranja o de riesgo medio se pone en marcha cuando las temperaturas máximas y mínimas se incrementan durante tres o cuatro días; y un nivel rojo o de riesgo elevado cuando se superan más de cinco días.

Además, el programa se completa con talleres formativos y de información realizados por Cruz Roja dirigida a concienciar a los ciudadanos sobre las medidas que deben adoptar para hacer frente a las altas temperaturas. Entre estas, se aconseja evitar la exposición directa al sol, usar ropa ligera y beber abundante líquido en verano. En este sentido, la información difundida a la población es accesible a través de la plataforma multimedia “Informarse es Salud”.
