Presentación del I Congreso de la Red Europea de celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua

El alcalde de Lucena, Juan Pérez, y la concejal de Turismo y Promoción Local, Teresa Alonso, han participado este martes en Sevilla en la presentación del I Congreso de la Red Europea de celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua ‘La Semana Santa, un Patrimonio Común’, iniciativa que impulsa la Ruta Caminos de Pasión.

El evento tendrá lugar los días 12 y 13 de marzo de 2021 y abordará la Semana Santa en Europa desde una perspectiva global, buscando destacar los elementos históricos y rituales compartidos, así como el estudio de la vigencia de las celebraciones de Semana Santa en el ámbito europeo. Debido a la situación sanitaria, se celebrará de forma on line a través de conferencias y mesas redondas desarrolladas por especialistas en la materia de los diferentes países.

Desde Caminos de Pasión, entidad fundadora de la Red Europea de celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua, a la que pertenece el Ayuntamiento de Lucena, se fija la celebración de este congreso con el objetivo de promocionar y difundir el patrimonio cultural, tanto material como inmaterial de esta celebración” y se anima a las diferentes Hermandades y Cofradías, así como a la población local, a participar de la misma con el objeto de convertir este espacio en un “foro global donde todas las voces tengan cabida”.

Esta acción es una de las diferentes actividades que la Red Europea de Celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua tiene previstas y que estará dividida en 5 áreas temáticas: la Semana Santa como patrimonio común europeo; historia y antropología de la Semana Santa en Europa; las manifestaciones artísticas; la incidencia de la Semana Santa en el campo del turismo y el papel de colaboración e intercambio que la creación de una red europea podría desempeñar. Todo ello en un momento donde la celebración de la fiesta está sujeta a las limitaciones que vienen acarreadas por la crisis sanitaria del Covid-19 y donde resulta de vital importancia poner en valor el patrimonio común. Más sobre la Red Europea

La Red Europea de celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua se creó en 2019 y de ella forman parte la Fundación Italiana Federico II, en representación de los municipios de Palermo y Caltanissetta, de Sicilia (Italia); el municipio de Birgu en Malta; la Comisión de Cuaresma y Celebraciones de la Semana Santa de Braga, en Portugal; las Representaciones de la Pasión de Cristo en Skofja Loka, Eslovenia; los municipios que forman parte de la ruta Caminos de Pasión: Alcalá la Real en Jaén, Baena, Cabra, Lucena, Priego de Córdoba y Puente Genil en Córdoba y Carmona, Écija Osuna y Utrera en Sevilla. También dentro de la geografía española encontramos a Orihuela en Alicante; Lorca en Murcia y Viveiro en Lugo.

El objetivo de la misma es promocionar y difundir el patrimonio cultural, tanto material como inmaterial, relacionado con las celebraciones de la Semana Santa y Pascua a través de acciones que, no sólo se basen en la promoción turística y cultural, sino que salvaguarden el patrimonio inmaterial, y fomenten el trabajo científico y de investigación.
