Lucena formaliza su adhesión a la Red de Municipios Orgullosos

El Ayuntamiento de Lucena ha formalizado su incorporación a la Red de Municipios Orgullosos que desde 2013 promueve la Asociación Adriano Antinoo mediante la firma del acuerdo que hace que Lucena sea la localidad número 83 a nivel nacional en sumarse a este foro de entes municipales.

Sin dotación económica y aprobado por la mayoría del Pleno en junio de 2020, el Ayuntamiento de Lucena se compromete mediante este convenio a programar anualmente acciones positivas para la atención de las personas homosexuales, bisexuales, trans e intersexuales, a través de los servicios municipales existentes, así como a promover la sensibilización de la sociedad en general a favor de la libre determinación de la orientación afectivo sexual y de su identidad de género.

Trabajar conjuntamente para la consecución de la libre determinación y pleno desarrollo de la orientación afectivo sexual y de la identidad de género y realizar acciones conmemorativas en determinadas fechas del año como el 28 de junio, Día Internacional del Orgullo LGTBI, también se recogen como objetivos a conseguir, así como la promoción y el apoyo a la difusión de la cultura y el arte con temática LGTBI en el municipio de Lucena, como una potente herramienta de visibilidad.

Tras la firma del documento, tanto el alcalde lucentino, Juan Pérez, como el presidente de la Red de Municipios Orgullosos, Manuel Rosado, han manifestado que este convenio viene a plasmar en papel muchas de las acciones y actividades que ya se vienen realizando en la localidad en favor de la visibilidad de este colectivo a iniciativa de la Concejalía de Igualdad y Diversidad.
