Lucena estrena su punto de información LGTBI

Desde el pasado 5 de febrero, el punto de información LGTBI ubicado en la Casa de la Juventud está a pleno rendimiento, gestionado por la asociación ‘Siente’ y patrocinado por las delegaciones de Igualdad y Diversidad y de Juventud. Este punto está disponible todos los miércoles, de 18.00 a 20.00 horas, en la sala 5 del edificio.

La delegada de Juventud, Mamen Beato, ha explicado que ambas delegaciones (Juventud e Igualdad y Diversidad) han querido potenciar este punto de información, habilitado desde 2018. “Es un paso de gigante para la ciudad de Lucena, en pro de la diversidad”, ha indicado Beato.

Por su parte, Marcos Serrano, presidente de ‘Siente’, ha señalado que “la finalidad de este punto es acercar a la ciudadanía conceptos básicos, la realidad de la diversidad y el mundo LGTBI, asesorar, informar y promover actividades y talleres que ayuden a la ciudadanía a caminar hacia la igualdad y la libertad”. “Como asociación, además, estamos muy contentos de la oportunidad que nos brinda el ayuntamiento, y ya estamos pensando en nuevas actividades sobre la diversidad para mayo y junio” ha añadido Serrano.

Se trata de un punto “informativo y formativo”, ha señalado el presidente de Siente, “y estamos abiertos a ideas sobre charlas, talleres, actividades o para conversar. En definitiva, para crear un espacio donde la gente se sienta libre y pueda hablar con tranquilidad del mundo de las relaciones afectivo-sexuales y la diversidad familiar”.

“Hemos recibido a personas de todas las edades, pertenecientes y ajenas a la asociación, y con cuestiones de todo tipo y, aunque son los jóvenes los que más preguntas nos presentan, estamos abiertos para toda la ciudadanía” ha apuntado Marcos Serrano, quien ha animado a todos los vecinos y vecinas a participar en este punto de encuentro, formación e información.

Este punto de información es una apuesta del Ayuntamiento de Lucena por reivindicar los derechos y las libertades de estos colectivos, que todavía son discriminados por parte de la sociedad, fomentando la movilización y la cohesión para conseguir respeto, tolerancia e igualdad entre los ciudadanos.
