Lucena acogerá la tercera y última etapa de la novedosa Challenge Ciclista de la Subbética

Del 18 al 20 de septiembre se va a celebrar una actividad deportiva novedosa con la disputa de la I Challenge Ciclista de la Subbética, Gran Premio Diputación de Córdoba, una prueba organizada por el Club Ciclista Challenge La Subbética, y que cuenta con un presupuesto de 31.000 € patrocinado por la Diputación Provincial, la Mancomunidad de la Subbética y los ayuntamientos de Cabra, Carcabuey, Priego y Lucena.

El concejal de Deportes, Alberto Lora, ha mostrado públicamente su apoyo y colaboración con esta prueba ciclista que contará con una aportación económica de 3.500 € por parte del ayuntamiento lucentino.

Esta primera edición de la Challenge Ciclista de la Subbética será de carácter nacional con tres etapas en línea celebrándose íntegramente por carreteras del Parque Natural de las Sierras Subbéticas.

La prueba contará con una participación de 133 corredores, divididos en 19 equipos de las siguientes comunidades: Castilla la Mancha, Madrid, Murcia, Cataluña, País Vasco, Comunidad Valenciana, Castilla y León, Cantabria, Andalucía e incluso un equipo del Principado de Mónaco.

El lucentino Manolo Barea, desde su Club Lepus Sport, ha sido uno de los impulsores de esta carrera ciclista por etapas. En el caso de nuestra ciudad, la tercera y última etapa, denominada Memorial José María  Martínez Raya, tendrá lugar el domingo 20 de septiembre, con un recorrido de 81,5 kms. con salida y meta en Lucena.
