Histórico ascenso del C.D. Surco Aventura a División de Honor

El Club Deportivo Surco Aventura de Lucena sigue haciendo historia. Este fin de semana se ha proclamado campeón de España de Primera División con lo que asciende a División de Honor.

El club lucentino se impuso en el encuentro disputado en Salamanca consiguiendo el primer puesto con un total de 109 puntos, y triunfos parciales para Javier Martín (100 metros lisos), Álvaro Lastra (altura), Daniel García (400 m. vallas) y Francisco Luis Martín (800 metros lisos) consiguiendo, de esta manera, pleno de victorias en las 3 jornadas disputadas (Moratalaz, Gandía y Salamanca) y el ascenso a la máxima categoría española.

En lo que se refiere a la actuación de atletas cordobeses destacaron Francisco Luis Martín que nuevamente hizo record provincial en los 800 metros con una marca de 1’52”16; Juan Ignacio Grondona acabó quinto en unos 1500 metros con 4’18”62; el lucentino Diego De La Fuente fue segundo en los 3000 obstáculos con 9’38”10; Francisco José Huertos acabó sexto en el concurso de salto con pértiga con 3,80 metros; Francisco Miguel Suárez fue cuarto en triple salto con sus 14,24 metros; Juan Ramón Barraza fue quinto en lanzamiento de disco con 41,93 metros; Francisco Julio Carmona fue cuarto en los 5 km. marcha con 22’55”37 y Moisés Rodríguez fue tercero en lanzamiento de martillo con 50,98 metros.

Con este ascenso, el C.D. Surco Aventura de Lucena competirá la próxima temporada con los mejores clubes de España, algo que sólo logró hace varios años el desaparecido Diputación de Córdoba. El club lucentino será el tercer representante andaluz en la División de Honor de Atletismo junto al Unicaja Jaén y Cueva de Nerja UMA.
