El presidente del consejo de la Comunidad Sefardí de Jerusalén ofrecerá una conferencia el 17 de noviembre

Manuel Lara, concejal delegado de Turismo, junto a Francisco Huertas, portavoz del Partido Popular que será el encargado de introducir al invitado, han presentado una conferencia que tendrá lugar el próximo 17 de noviembre, a las 20:30 horas, en el Palacio de los Condes de Santa Ana y que dictará el doctor Abraham Haim, presidente del Consejo de la Comunidad Sefardí de Jerusalén.

El doctor Abraham Haim es licenciado en Historia en Oriente Medio por la Universidad de Tel Aviv y en Lengua y Literatura Árabe por la Universidad Hebrea de Jerusalen. Su vinculación con España es muy extensa y fue él quien, en el año 2012, representó a España en la Conferencia Internacional de Liderazgo de la Federación Universal de la Paz que tuvo lugar en Seúl.

La conferencia versará sobre el panorama histórico y cultural judío debido al 750 aniversario de la Comunidad Sefardí en Jerusalén. El doctor Abraham Haim vendrá acompañado por un rabino y también por el senador del Partido Popular en Málaga, Joaquín Ramírez. Estos serán recibidos en el Ayuntamiento de Lucena por el Primer Teniente de Alcalde, José Cantizani, y a continuación pasarán, cerca de las 16:30 horas, a visitar la Necropolis Judía y se llevará a cabo una visita guiada por la ciudad.

Al término de la conferencia, el Ayuntamiento de Lucena le hará entrega de la Medalla Conmemorativa de las Cuatro Sinagogas del Barrio Judío de la Ciudad Vieja de Jerusalén en honor a su larga trayectoria y debido, también, a la gran labor que ha realizado a favor de descubrir, restaurar, mantener y divulgar Lucena como ciudad judía de la España medieval.
