El ayuntamiento presenta en Sevilla el acuerdo con la UCO para la gestión y dirección de excavaciones en la Cueva del Ángel.

El alcalde de Lucena, Juan Pérez y los portavoces de los grupos políticos con representación en la corporación municipal se han desplazado a Sevilla con la finalidad de mantener una reunión con representantes de la Dirección General de Patrimonio Histórico y Documental, dependiente de la consejería de Cultura y Patrimonio Histórico de la Junta de Andalucía, y al objeto de presentar el acuerdo de colaboración con la Universidad de Córdoba, UCO, para que esta entidad se haga cargo de la gestión y dirección de proyectos de excavación de la Cueva del Ángel.

Un acuerdo, según ha podido saber Videoluc Tv, muy avanzado y que se podrá materializar a medio plazo toda vez que el equipo de arqueólogos de la UCO debe concluir previamente una serie de proyectos arqueológicos antes de dedicar su trabajo en exclusiva al yacimiento de nuestra ciudad.

Cabe recordar que desde junio de 2020 la Consejería de Cultura cuenta con el informe favorable a la inscripción de la Cueva del Ángel en el Catálogo General del Patrimonio Histórico Andaluz, con categoría de zona arqueológica. Una tramitación aún pendiente de que el Consejo de Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía apruebe su declaración como Bien de Interés Cultural.

Sobre la mesa también está el informe solicitado a la Universidad de Burgos sobre la idoneidad de la metodología y procedimiento de actuación seguidos en las actuaciones de investigación desarrolladas en la Cueva del Ángel entre los años 2013 a 2019, elaborado por el investigador Juan Carlos Díez Fernández-Lomana a la luz de la negativa de la Junta de Andalucía a dar por valida la memoria del ejercicio anterior tras detectar ciertas deficiencias en los métodos de investigación empleados.

Por tanto, ahora, la Junta de Andalucía debe decidir si respalda la valoración positiva de las actuaciones realizadas hasta la fecha puestas de manifiesto en el mencionado informe, da por buena la memoria cuestionada e impulsar el acuerdo con la Universidad de Córdoba, aspectos que sumados a la declaración como BIC pueden marcar el futuro inmediato de la Cueva del Ángel.
