El ayuntamiento financiará la colocación, limpieza y mantenimiento del busto de Prudencio Uzar

El pleno de la corporación municipal acordaba por unanimidad la aceptación de la cesión del busto de Prudencio Uzar para su ubicación en la plaza del mismo nombre

La escultura, obra del artista local Pedro Cantero y elaborada por la fundición Bronces  Gonzalo Angulo, ha sido financiada por suscripción popular. El ayuntamiento se encargaría de la colocación, la limpieza, el mantenimiento y del coste de una placa para dicho monumento.

Tanto Partido Popular como Ciudadanos agradecieron la labor de las personas que han promovido esta iniciativa con la que se rinde un homenaje a Prudencio Uzar, conocido popularmente como el Buen Samaritano de Santa Marta, que falleció en Lucena en septiembre de 2005.
