El atleta lucentino Antonio Manjón Cabeza segundo puesto en veteranos en la Carrera Alpina Sierra de Gador en Almería

El atleta zamorano Santiago Mezquita consiguió la victoria en la cuarta prueba puntuable para la Copa de España de Carreras por Montaña en línea, la Carrera Alpina Sierra de Gádor-Dalias, sobre una distancia de 28 Kms. y 1.680 metros de desnivel positivo. El ganador se impuso con un tiempo de 2 horas, 10 minutos y 46 segundos.

Por su parte, el atleta lucentino Antonio Manjón-Cabeza Torres tuvo un papel descatado en esta carrera almeriense, ya que sobre una participación de 153 corredores, Manjón-Cabeza consiguió un meritotio undécimo lugar en la clasficación general y el segundo puesto en la categoría veteranos A. El montañero de Lucena consiguió subir la Sierra de Gador en 2 horas, 19 minutos y 23 segundos.

La Copa de España de Carreras por Montaña en línea – Gran Premio BUFF®-SCOTT ha cerrado la cuarta cita de seis carreras, y mantiene toda la emoción por saber quiénes serán los corredores más regulares y fuertes de España. El desenlace se conocerá en la Santa Cruz Extreme de Tenerife, el 21 de octubre, y en la Caravaca Trail Experience, en Caravaca de la Cruz (Murcia), el 5 de noviembre.
