Cruz Roja entrega material escolar a más de 300 menores de la provincia

Más de 300 menores de la provincia se beneficiarán durante este mes del reparto de vales y de material escolar directamente que está realizando el voluntariado de Cruz Roja Juventud entre familias en situación de vulnerabilidad.

Según informa Cruz Roja en un comunicado, los vales (de 20 euros cada uno) y los lotes de material –que incluyen mochilas, cuadernos, lápices o rotuladores, entre otros artículos- proceden de las colaboraciones de la institución humanitaria con la Fundación Solidaridad Carrefour, de las donaciones de la ciudadanía y de fondos propios de la entidad.

Más de la mitad de las familias que recibirán este material son de la capital, y el resto se distribuyen entre niños y niñas de las once localidades de la provincia donde la entidad cuenta con asamblea: Baena, Hinojosa del Duque, Montilla, Palma del Río, Priego de Córdoba, Peñarroya-Pueblonuevo, Puente Genil, Pozoblanco, Rute, Villanueva de Córdoba y Lucena

La labor de Cruz Roja con la infancia y las familias en dificultad social está enfocada a responder a las situaciones que generan vulnerabilidad en el ámbito educativo, social y de ocio. Y, sin duda, la crisis del coronavirus está provocando vulnerabilidad en todos esos frentes.

Por eso, esta es una más de las medidas contempladas dentro del Plan Cruz Roja Responde frente al covid-19, que también incluyó el reparto de alimentos y otros bienes de primera necesidad, la atención y seguimiento telefónico de personas vulnerables y población de riesgo; el apoyo a personas sin hogar para que encuentren un lugar donde dormir; o acciones relacionadas con el empleo, como píldoras formativas y orientación laboral

Tras su ampliación en mayo, en total el plan Cruz Roja Responde tendrá una duración de 9 meses y durante ese periodo se espera atender en todo el país a más de 2.400.000 personas vulnerables, movilizando a más de 49.000 personas voluntarias, 25.000 de ellas de nueva incorporación, que materializarán las respuestas previstas en todo el territorio a través de más de 1.400 puntos de atención y también de forma telemática y/o telefónica.

Cruz Roja Juventud es la sección juvenil de Cruz Roja Española, y está integrada por jóvenes con edades comprendidas entre los 8 y los 30 años. Por medio de sus cuatro áreas de acción, realiza actividades que intentan promover el cambio social desde la infancia y la adolescencia, en busca de una sociedad plural, tolerante, solidaria y respetuosa.
