El cuadro antequerano, a los mandos del joven técnico Javi Medina, llega tras realizar un sensacional curso en el grupo II de Primera Federación. Tanto es así que, en su debut en la categoría, logró posicionarse cerca de las posiciones de promoción a Segunda División.
Así, en concordancia a sus aspiraciones, el Antequera CF ha formalizado transferencias importantes como la del atacante Jonathan Biabiany, quien formó durante varias temporadas para el Inter de Milán y alcanzó importantes títulos. Por otro lado, el club malagueño cuenta con un rodaje de cuatro amistosos disputados con un balance positivo: dos victorias, un empate y una derrota.
El Linares Deportivo, por su parte, disputará la presente campaña en el grupo IV de Segunda Federación, después de tres temporadas consecutivas en Primera Federación. De entre sus principales efectivos, resultan varias caras conocidas para la familia lucentina; Javi Lara se presenta como novedad en el plantel de Juan Antonio Milla, del que también forma parte el clásico ariete Hugo Díaz, históricos centrocampista y ariete del Lucena CF, respectivamente.
