Una exposición cierra los actos del 400 aniversario de la concesión del Título de Ciudad

El Ayuntamiento de Lucena culmina la programación especial del 400 aniversario de la concesión del Título de Ciudad con la exposición al aire libre que desde el pasado viernes se puede visitar en la plaza San Miguel como un recorrido por los principales acontecimientos históricos de la ciudad desde el año 1618.

Esta muestra enseña en 33 paneles imágenes y textos los principales hitos históricos de Lucena en estos últimos cuatro siglos, un pormenorizado trabajo de recopilación dirigido por el cronista oficial Francisco López Salamanca que se presenta con siete láminas por cada una de las cuatro centurias a las que alude la exposición.

La exposición se completa con la reproducción de diversas portadas publicadas por Diario Córdoba desde la segunda mitad del siglo XX en las que Lucena fue titular principal debido a diversos acontecimientos como fueron la coronación de Nuestra Señora de Araceli (1948), inauguración del suministro de agua (1954), la gran riada de 1963, el cincuentenario de la coronación de Nuestra Señora de Araceli (1998) y la visita del príncipe Felipe (2002).

La primera visita a la exposición ‘400 aniversario de la concesión del Título de Ciudad (1618-2018)’ ha reunido este mediodía al alcalde de Lucena, Juan Pérez y diferentes concejales de la Corporación lucentina junto al cronista López Salamanca y el redactor jefe de Diario Córdoba, Rafael Aranda.

Ante los medios de comunicación, el alcalde ha definido esta actividad como “el mejor broche para todos los actos del 400 aniversario”, al tiempo que ha querido agradecer “la dedicación desinteresada de Francisco López en la elaboración de los textos y la apuesta que Diario Córdoba siempre hace por nuestra ciudad, con una profesionalidad que va más allá de la narración de las noticias diarias”.

Por su parte, Rafael Aranda ha remarcado “la consecución por parte de esta exposición de los tres principios que también tiene un periódico: informar, entretener y educar”, motivos por los que “Diario Córdoba debía estar de forma latente en este 400 aniversario concebido como un homenaje a la historia de Lucena, de la que nos sentimos también parte en los últimos 73 años de vida de nuestro periódico”.
