Servicios Sociales atiende actualmente a unas 700 familias lucentinas en situación de vulnerabilidad

La delegación municipal de Servicios Sociales del Ayuntamiento de Lucena  atiende actualmente a unas 700 familias lucentinas en situación de vulnerabilidad.  Se trata  del doble de usuarios que antes de la pandemia, según los datos facilitados por la concejal delegada de este área, Carmen Gallardo.

La edil municipal explicaba que el presupuesto inicial para este ejercicio, dotado con 170.000 euros, se ha triplicado hasta llegar a los 600.000. De esta cantidad, ya se han invertido más de 400.000 euros en medidas sociales.

La concejal delegada de Servicios sociales, anunciaba también la puesta en marcha de ayudas al alquiler de viviendas, así como al pago de otros suministros. Una partida a la que este año se han destinado un total de 30.000 euros. También se han convocado subvenciones, recordó, como las  becas escolares, con el incremento de la partida destinada a este concepto; becas al  transporte escolar, adquisición de  materiales EPI para colectivos sociales o el pago de alquiler a víctimas de violencia de género.

Gallardo agradecía la labor desempeñada por el personal de limpieza y los trabajadores de Servicios Sociales a lo largo de estos meses difíciles y recordaba la disposición de cita telefónica y telemática para los usuarios. La edil de esta área municipal, anunciaba que dada la situación que se prevé para los próximos meses,  el presupuesto de Servicios Sociales para 2021 deberá ser similar al del ejercicio actual.
