Más de 300 personas y sus mascotas acudirán a la Parroquia de Santiago para celebrar la festividad de San Antón, patrón de los animales

El próximo domingo a las 17:30 horas, a las puertas de la Parroquia de Santiago se darán cita, según las previsiones de años anteriores, cerca de trescientas personas con sus mascotas para recibir la bendición del párroco Francisco de Asís Roldán.

Una iniciativa que se celebra por tercer año consecutivo en nuestra ciudad y que en las dos anteriores ediciones ha gozado de una gran aceptación entre los vecinos de Lucena

Un entrañable acto que permitirá que todos estos animales de compañía reciban el agua bendita, cumpliendo así con una tradición muy arraigada en otros puntos de España y que empieza a arraigar en nuestra ciudad.

Entre los animales que desfilaran por el llanete de Santiago, cabe destacar que la mayoría serán perros, de distintos tamaños y razas, así como gatos, canarios, periquitos, conejos, tortugas, hámster, cobayas, en definitiva se espera que cerca de 280 mascotas acudan en busca de la protección de San Antón.
