Lucena se suma a la cooperación al desarrollo con una mesa redonda sobre la educación y la salud en los países de origen

El Ayuntamiento de Lucena, a través de la Concejalía de Servicios Sociales, Salud y Cooperación al Desarrollo y con la colaboración de Infancia Solidaria, organiza para mañana sábado  16 de noviembre la primera edición de las Jornadas de Cooperación al Desarrollo, que consistirá en la celebración de una mesa redonda bajo el título ‘La educación y la salud en los países de origen’. En el acto de presentación han intervenido Carmen Gallardo, concejal de Servicios Sociales, y Araceli Delgado, coordinadora de Infancia Solidaria.

Por su parte, Araceli Delgado ha agradecido “la labor de todos los que participan en las jornadas”, que tienen “el objetivo de concienciar y sensibilizar sobre cuestiones muy delicadas”, pasando a detallar a continuación a los distintos participantes, todo bajo la presentación de Jesús Frontelo, miembro del comité ejecutivo de UNICEF.

Así, durante la jornada, que tendrá lugar en el Salón de Plenos a las siete de la tarde y cuya entrada es gratuita hasta completar aforo, intervendrán Rafael Selas, exproductor musical de éxito que dejó su vida en Miami para fundar la casa de acogida Anidan en Lamu (Kenia), donde conviven más de 300 niños y niñas huérfanos, recibiendo alojamiento, manutención, atención médica y educación y donde 22 de ellos han podido acceder a la universidad; y la actriz madrileña Sandra Blázquez, que junto con su compañera María Fábregas son cofundadoras de la oenegé Idea Libre, las cuales hablarán de su proyecto de educación en Chunvi (Kenia), donde tienen una escuela.

Igualmente, también estarán presentes Paula de Vera, cardióloga madrileña que hace campañas de cardiología pediátrica con la fundación Pablo Horstmann en Lamu, y Alberto Tortosa, miembro de la oenegé Aída, que trabaja en Guinea Bissau con proyectos de educación y salud.

Carmen  Gallardo indicaba que los participantes en la tertulia son  personas relevantes que un día cambiaron sus cómodas vidas para trabajar en países de África en el ámbito de la educación y la salud, dándoles las armas necesarias, recursos y formación a personas para sacar a sus familias y comunidades adelante sin la necesidad de embarcarse en la fatídica ruta hacia la migración.
