Lucena lidera la presencia de la Red Europa de Celebraciones de Semana Santa en el Foro Europeo de Itinerarios Culturales

El Ayuntamiento de Lucena, en representación de la Red Europea de Celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua, ha participado desde el miércoles en el Foro Anual Consultivo de los Itinerarios Culturales del Consejo de Europa 2019, celebrado en la ciudad de Sibiu (Rumanía), para analizar el papel de los Itinerarios Culturales europeos en la mejora del potencial del turismo cultural que tiene como base el patrimonio y las tradiciones europeas, así como para fomentar la innovación y la creatividad en el sector cultural en favor de la experiencia turística.

Como entidad que preside la Red Europea de Celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua, la ruta Caminos de Pasión, representada en esta cita por su presidente, el alcalde de Lucena, Juan Pérez, la alcaldesa de Osuna, Rosario Andújar, y la gerente Encarnación Giráldez, aprovecha la presencia en este foro para conocer el proceso a seguir en la obtención de la certificación como Itinerario Cultural Europeo, objetivo principal en el que viene trabajando la red desde su constitución el pasado mes de marzo en Braga.

“Al compartir de primera mano las experiencias que desarrollan otros territorios europeos como itinerarios culturales, tenemos ya información precisa sobre las actividades y eventos que debemos poner en marcha a partir de ahora para cumplir así con los requisitos recogidos en las bases que publica el Consejo de Europa”, ha comentado Juan Pérez, quien confirmaba un plazo de dos años como “fecha estimada para desarrollar esa agenda obligada que debe conducirnos hasta la obtención de este sello de calidad que nos reconocerá como destino turístico-cultural a nivel internacional”.

Actualmente, la Red Europea de Celebraciones de Semana Santa y Pascua está integrada por municipios y territorios de Portugal, Malta, Italia, Eslovenia y España, desde donde la ruta Caminos de Pasión, constituida por las ciudades de Alcalá la Real, Baena, Cabra, Lucena, Priego de Córdoba, Puente Genil, Carmona, Écija, Osuna y Utrera, impulsó esta iniciativa junto a Viveiro, Orihuela y Lorca. La presencia en el Foro permite a los representantes de la red entablar nuevos contactos con otras ciudades y territorios de diferentes países europeos aspirantes a forma parte de esta red, principalmente lugares del arco mediterráneo fuertemente vinculados a las fiestas de Semana Santa y Pascua y sus correspondientes tradiciones.
