La delegación municipal de Igualdad del Ayuntamiento de Lucena conmemora el Día en contra de la LGTBI fobia que se celebra hoy viernes 17 de mayo, con una conferencia que impartirá Estupenda Márquez, una activista LGTBI el próximo martes 21 de mayo a partir de las 7 de la tarde en la Casa de Los Mora.
La concejal delegada de Igualdad del Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Irene Aguilera, explicaba que el 17 de mayo de 1990 la Organización Mundial de la Salud, declaró por primera vez que la homosexualidad no era una enfermedad, de ahí la importancia de conmemorar este día.
El lema de este año es “Puede que no comprendas las siglas, se entiende, pero tu odio no”. Ante ello se ha decidido abordar el tema del sexilio en una conferencia, debido a las personas LGTBI que aún actualmente tienen que salir de sus pueblos debido a su condición sexual para poder ser libres.
José Oteros, psicólogo del Centro de Información a la Mujer, explicaba que con la ponencia se quiere dar voz a historias de personas que han pasado desapercibidas.
La conferencia lleva por título “Sexilio, hacia una vida mejor o no”, tiene entrada libre y se celebrará el próximo martes en la sala entrepatios de la Casa de Los Mora.
