La Policía Nacional detiene a un hombre en Lucena tras caer una red internacional de pedófilos

Agentes de la Policía Nacional han desmantelado una de las mayores redes nacionales de distribución de pornografía infantil a través de WhatsApp, en un operativo que ha contado con la coordinación de Interpol y Europol debido a las conexiones internacionales de la red pedófila en Europa y América.

Según publica Diario Córdoba, se localizaron catorce grupos del popular servicio de mensajería instantánea conteniendo temática exclusivamente pedófila. Se ha detenido a diecinueve personas en España, una de ellas en Lucena, con la coordinación e intervención de 18 juzgados debido a la cantidad de usuarios implicados en la investigación y su dispersión geográfica. Se han practicado diecinueve registros en los que se han intervenido numerosos dispositivos con más de 16 terabytes de información que contenían unos 2.400.000 archivos de pornografía infantil. Los detenidos trataban de ocultar su actividad ilícita valiéndose de sofisticados programas de encriptación y software específico de eliminación de contenidos.

La permanente labor de prevención proactiva de agentes de Policía Nacional especializados en la protección de los menores en Internet permitió la localización a través de redes anónimas de diferentes grupos de la aplicación de mensajería WhatsApp en los que se estaba intercambiando gran cantidad de contenidos relacionados con la explotación sexual infantil.

Las pesquisas condujeron a detectar hasta catorce chats, 58 usuarios y enormes cantidades de archivos compartidos. Los investigadores constataron igualmente que la actividad ilícita no se limitaba a España, sino que extendía sus redes a otros 7 países de Europa y de América.,Dado el carácter supranacional de las investigaciones, se requirió la cooperación de las oficinas policiales internacionales de Europol e Interpol.
