La Escuela de Hostelería de Lucena acoge el proyecto “Cocina Aural” que combina gastronomía y creación sonora

Cocina Aural es un proyecto cultural que combina gastronomía y creación sonora, e invita a las personas con discapacidad visual a explorar nuevas herramientas y vías de expresión en torno a la escucha y la cocina como base para la creación artística. La convocatoria para participar está abierta hasta el próximo 25 de marzo.

El proyecto, diseñado y organizado por la asociación cultural lucentina WeekendProms, cuenta con el apoyo de la Fundación La Caixa. Cocina Aural fue uno de los 19 proyectos seleccionados a nivel estatal en la última convocatoria de “Art for Change” de dicha institución, entre cerca de 300 solicitudes. A través de una serie de talleres y una metodología participativa, los participantes en este proyecto compondrán sus propias recetas sonoras, convirtiendo la cocina en un laboratorio para la composición artística. Las obras formarán parte de un disco de vinilo de creación colectiva, cuyo formato, contenido y diseño será decisión de los participantes.

Además, se prevén varias actividades relacionadas con la presentación del vinilo final y la participación en festivales de arte de la comarca. Juan Cantizani es el coordinador del proyecto.

El proyecto persigue visibilizar la labor creativa de las personas con discapacidad visual, fomentar su participación como agentes creadores del tejido cultural local y derribar estereotipos en torno al colectivo.

La iniciativa está patrocinada por la Fundación La CAixa que ha aportado en primera instancia 18.000 euros y que pretende financiar este proyecto en su totalidad. Miguel Ángel Hiedra, director de La CAixa en Lucena destacaba el orgullo de que la fundación haya apostado por un proyecto tan creativo en la ciudad.

Cocina Aural cuenta con el patrocinio tecnológico de ZOOM y Audio-Technica, además de la colaboración en la difusión de ONCE y la participación de sus afiliados, el Instituto de Educación Secundaria IES Juan de Aréjula, el Ayuntamiento de Lucena, el sello discográfico local Food&Sound y la asociación cultural  la mitocondria
