El Día Forestal Mundial y el Día Mundial del Agua cobran protagonismo en las actividades diseñadas por el ayuntamiento.
La concejal delegada de Medio Ambiente, Charo Valverde ha dado a conocer las actividades que conforman el programa de educación ambiental de esta primavera.
Una agenda de acciones tendentes a promover la sostenibilidad y la conservación del medio ambiente, el cuidado de nuestros recursos naturales, el conocimiento de la biodiversidad local y contrarrestar el cambio climático.
Así, el 21 de marzo, coincidiendo con el Día Forestal Mundial, la Vía Verde acogerá una actividad titulada “sembrando recuerdos”, una iniciativa de reforestación con la plantación de árboles autóctonos en colaboración con el CEIP Al Yussana y la asociación de alzheimer “Nuestros Ángeles”.
La mañana del 22 de marzo, Día Mundial del Agua, en el embalse de Malpasillo, tendrá lugar un taller de anillamiento científico de aves y una ruta interpretativa en la que será necesaria inscripción previa a través de la delegación de Medio Ambiente.
Ese mismo día, por la tarde, se llevará a cago una nueva edición de “la hora del planeta”, un apagado de luces, entre las 20:30 y las 21:30 en la que participará el propio ayuntamiento, apagando plazas y edificios municipales y se invita a participar a todos los comercios de la ciudad.
Para el día 23 de marzo está previsto el inicio de una serie de rutas por espacios naturales de la mano de la poesía para las que también será necesaria la inscripción previa. La primera tendrá lugar el propio día 23, por Fuente Navazuelo, la segunda el 30 de marzo por Enrique Triano y la última el 5 de abril por Puente Povedano. La poseía de Lorca, Bécquer y Machado acompañará estas tres rutas.
Cabe destacar que con los centros escolares se pondrá en marcha una nueva edición del aula de la naturaleza en época de Semana Santa, con el formato habitual, para niños de 6 a12 años en horario de mañana, y con el objetivo de conocer prácticas agroecológicas, los huertos humanos, o el fomento de una alimentación saludable.
