La Cueva del Ángel, pendiente de la cesión de los accesos a la sima

El Ayuntamiento estudia convertir la sierra en un parque periurbano

El alcalde de Lucena en funciones, José Cantizani,  ha informado del acuerdo de cesión de los accesos a la Cueva del Ángel. Según Cantizani, el documento está preparado para firmar en notaria con Teodoro Écija, viudo de Concepción de Mora, fallecida recientemente y propietaria de la Sierra de Aras, hecho por el cual se está dilatando el proceso de cesión.

Por tanto, tras la firma,  los terrenos localizados en la explanada de entrada a la sima de la Cueva se ponen a disposición municipal, para  poder afrontar el desarrollo del proyecto para la puesta en valor y turística de la misma al público. Este espacio pretende adaptar la zona de acceso a la Cueva a través de la sima, y el proyecto propone desarrollar el cerramiento de la zona con un punto de control, la construcción de un mirador, un punto de información al visitante y aseos.

El proyecto pendiente de ejecutar con recursos de la Consejería de Medio Ambiente, asciende a 350.000 euros.

De manera paralela el ayuntamiento está estudiando la compra de la Sierra de Aras para convertirla en un Parque Periurbano. De esta manera proteger este espacio natural de forma simultánea a su uso como área de ocio en plena naturaleza.

En este sentido, el alcalde de la ciudad, Juan Pérez, lo ha puesto de manifiesto al delegado territorial de Medio Ambiente de la Junta, Francisco Algar y a los técnicos de la delegación en su visita a la sima de la Cueva del Ángel, quienes han coincidido en que el espacio natural de la Sierra de Aras reúne los requisitos para convertirse en Parque Periurbano. Se trata de una superficie de 110 hectáreas de terreno de sierra que rodean al Real Santuario de la Virgen de Araceli, patrona de la ciudad y del Campo Andaluz.

De alcanzarse un acuerdo,  la Sierra de Aras se convertiría en el primer parque periurbano del sur de Córdoba y pasaría a formar parte del patrimonio de municipal y por lo tanto el ayuntamiento tendría que hacerse cargo del cumplir con las obligaciones de limpieza y  mantenimiento de este paraje de sierra.
