Un duro circuito de 6,7 kilómetros y 150 metros de desnivel.
La Hermandad de María Stma. de la Aurora junto con el Club Deportivo Peñón del Nervo y con la colaboración del Excelentísimo Ayuntamiento de Carcabuey organizaron la XX Carrera Popular Nocturna “Virgen de la Aurora” que se celebró en la noche del pasado viernes 22 de agosto.
La salida y metas de todas las pruebas estuvo situada en las inmediaciones de la Plaza de España, quedando este recinto cerrado al tráfico para la mayor comodidad de todos los participantes.
Para la prueba reina se estableció un recorrido de 6,7 kilómetros con un desnivel acumulado de 150 metros.
Jesús Pineda Varo, del Club Maratón Lucena se hizo con el triunfo en esta carrera después de una rapidísima salida y poner tierra de por medio para llegar en solitario a la Plaza de España, marcando un tiempo de 25 minutos y 44 segundos
En la categoría femenina se llevó la victoria María del Mar Marqués que empleo un tiempo de 27 minutos y 37 segundos.
