El Gobierno Central renuncia a continuar con las obras del Edificio de la Seguridad Social de Lucena

El alcalde de Lucena admitía en el transcurso del pleno ordinario correspondiente a este mes de septiembre, tras una pregunta del portavoz de Ciudadanos, Jesús López, que el  Ministerio de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones ha decidido abandonar las obras del edificio de la Seguridad Social, que se inició en nuestra ciudad hace una década.

La Plataforma de Contratación del Sector Público, ha publicado ya la resolución del contrato de dirección de obras. Juan Pérez, anunciaba que esta misma semana conoció la noticia, así que ha solicitado cita con la Dirección General de la Seguridad Social, añadiendo que la postura del equipo de gobierno será una “rotunda negación a la medida”.

El Ministerio de Trabajo, Migraciones y Seguridad Social publicaba a finales de 2019  la oferta para la contratación y redacción del Proyecto Básico  y de Ejecución, Dirección de Obras,  Plan de Seguridad y Salud de las obras del nuevo edificio de la Seguridad Social en Lucena que fue adjudicado en mayo de 2020 a la arquitecta Iciar Rodríguez López.

El importe de esta contratación fue  de 240.079,43 euros y ello suponía retomar la continuidad de este  edificio, cuya fecha de finalización estaba prevista en un primer momento para finales de 2016. El inmueble ubicado entre las calles Zagrilla, Carcabuey y Montilla se adjudicó inicialmente en mayo del 2013 a una unión temporal de empresas que presentó la mejor oferta con un importe de adjudicación que ascendió a un total de 2.735.118 euros más IVA, contando con un plazo de ejecución previsto en un total de 22 meses. Tras el periodo de parálisis el proyecto ascendía en 2020 a 4.729.006, 94 euros I.V.A. incluido.

Las obras ese encontraban paralizadas como consecuencia de las resoluciones de los contratos vinculados con la construcción del edificio, resueltos por incumplimiento del mismo y el nivel de ejecución alcanzado es actualmente del 19,16% del proyecto inicial.
