El Club Koryo disputa campeonatos en Toledo, Mallorca y Bilbao

El equipo de Kick Boxing del Club Koryo Lucena ha participado con éxito en el Campeonato Copa de España Tatami Sport en la modalidades de light contact, semi contact y kick light que se ha celebrado en la localidad toledana de Villarubia de Santiago.

El equipo lucentino que entrena Rafael Granados estaba formado por siete deportistas que lograron conseguir un total de 5 medallas en la modalidad de light contact; 2 medallas de oro, 1 de plata y 2 de bronce. Alejandro Carrión y Julián Rafael García fueron creciendo en la competición ganando todos sus combates para proclamarse, en ambos casos, Campeones de España en sus diferentes categorías.

Por su parte, Carolina Carrión, se encontró con la liga más dura donde estaban todas las favoritas enfrentándose en la final a Carla Rey, rival que participó en el mundial. Tras una final muy reñida, la lucentina perdió por la mínima consiguiendo así el Subcampeonato de España. En cuanto a las medallas de bronce fueron para Christian Carrasco, que perdió en semifinales por tan solo 1 punto de diferencia, y para Manuel Jesús Burguillos que igualmente cayó en su semifinal.

 

Open de Baleares

En otro punto de la geografía española, en Palma de Mallorca se disputó el Open de Baleares de Taekwondo. El Club Koryo Lucena se presentó en este campeonato con tres deportistas, Miguel Ángel Campaña, Antonio Jesús Campaña y Miguel Cañete, junto a su entrenador Antonio Pedrazas. El club lucentino terminó tercero por equipos en cadete y junior masculino gracias a las 2 medallas de bronce conseguidas por Miguel Ángel Campaña y Antonio Jesús Campaña.

 

Open de Euskadi

Por otra parte, nuestros deportistas Jairo José Muñoz y Manuel Aranda se desplazaron hasta Bilbao con el equipo de la Selección Andaluza de Taekwondo para participar en el I Open de Euskadi. El papel de ambos en este campeonato fue bueno aunque Jairo José Muñoz  cayó en primera ronda por tan sólo un punto mientras que su compañero Manuel Aranda si consiguió llegar a la final donde unas decisiones muy discutidas le privaron del triunfo final. Aún así, el deportista de Lucena se colgó la medalla de plata en esta primera edición del Open de Taekwondo de Euskadi.
