El Club de Tenis La Torca de Lucena cae eliminado del Campeonato de España de Veteranos por Equipos

En las instalaciones del Club de Tenis La Torca de Lucena se disputó la primera ronda eliminatoria del Campeonato de España de Veteranos Masculino +35 por Equipos.

Un campeonato organizado por la Real Federación Española de Tenis y que en esta edición de 2020 ha contado con una decena de equipos partiendo como cabezas de serie el R.C.T. Barcelona, R.C. de Polo de Barcelona, C.C. Villa de Madrid y el R.A.C. de Córdoba. Además de estos completaron el cuadro de octavos de final los equipos de R.C. Puerta de Hierro de Madrid, C.T. Alcorcón, C.T. Linares, C.D. Brezo de Osuna, Río Grande de Mairena del Aljarafe y el C.T. La Torca de Lucena.

En esta primera ronda de octavos de final algunos equipos quedaron exentos de jugar, entre ellos los cabeza de serie, sin embargo, al C.T. La Torca de Lucena, actuando como anfitrión, le tocó enfrentarse al equipo del R.C. Puerta de Hierro de Madrid.

En este duelo, y según el formato del torneo, se disputaron un total de 5 partidos individuales y 2 de dobles. Por lo tanto, durante toda la matinal del domingo se fueron jugando los encuentros donde hubo dominio madrileño con 3 victorias individuales y las 2 de dobles. Por su parte, el equipo lucentino se impuso en los partidos 3 y 5 de indiduales.

De esta manera, el Real Club Puerta de Hierro de Madrid se impuso por 5 triunfos a 2 pasando al cuadro de cuartos de final de este campeonato nacional. El equipo del C.T. La Torca de Lucena estuvo formado por 7 jugadores; Luis Muñoz, Antonio Montes, Juan David Cano, Guillermo Salazar, José Antonio Montaño, José Luis Cantero y Rafael Montes.
