El Cabildo Catedral donará 100.000 euros para material sanitario

Ante la crisis del coronavirus y las graves consecuencias humanas y económicas que está provocando, el Cabildo Catedral va a destinar 100.000 euros que irán dirigidos a la compra de material sanitario y que se canalizarán a través de la Delegación del Gobierno de la Junta de Andalucía en Córdoba, según ha informado en una nota de prensa.

En palabras del deán-presidente del Cabildo Catedral, Manuel Pérez Moya, “en una situación así, y como siempre ha hecho, el Cabildo quiere estar al lado de la sociedad cordobesa y, en especial, al lado de quienes más lo necesitan. En esta crisis, todos debemos ayudar y el Cabildo quiere así aportar su granito de arena porque lo más importante en esta situación son las personas”.

Asimismo, el Cabildo Catedral se compromete a mantener el empleo de todos sus trabajadores y a no realizar ningún Expediente de Regulación Temporal de Empleo (ERTE). En total forman parte de la plantilla un total de 95 trabajadores más otros 56 correspondientes a empresas contratadas, lo que suma un total de 151 personas a las que se les garantiza el empleo.

“El personal del Cabildo es lo más importante de esta institución ya que es su trabajo diario, su dedicación e ilusión por hacer las cosas bien, lo que permite que todos podamos disfrutar de la Mezquita-Catedral, y en un contexto así queremos estar con ellos”, ha asegurado Pérez Moya. Por otra parte, el Cabildo ha puesto a disposición de las autoridades una impresora 3D que va a comenzar a elaborar diverso material como viseras protectoras para el virus que irán destinadas al hospital Reina Sofía. Esta impresora tiene capacidad para producir 15 unidades diarias.

El Cabildo ha acordado también proceder al cierre total de la Mezquita-Catedral para garantizar la salud de los trabajadores y sus familias, manteniéndose únicamente el culto que se retransmite a través de distintas plataformas y medios de comunicación. Estas medidas estarán vigentes mientras siga el estado de alarma, pudiendo ser implementadas con otras que se estimen necesarias. Una vez que concluya el estado de alarma, se estudiarán otras acciones de carácter estratégico de cara al futuro.
