El atleta lucentino Antonio Montero se queda a sólo 3 segundos del triunfo absoluto en el Cross Nacional Valle de Los Pedroches

La vigésimo octava edición del Cross Nacional Comarca de Los Pedroches disputado en Villanueva de Córdoba dio el pistoletazo de salida a un nuevo curso dentro del Circuito Cordobés de Carreras Populares 2018. Fueron muchos los atletas que desafiaron a las bajas temperaturas en una prueba que tuvo dos nombres propios, Pablo Sánchez y Fátima Ouhaddou, ganadores en la categoría absoluta.

En categoría masculina, sobre una distancia de 8.000 metros, se vivió una bonita lucha por la victoria que protagonizaron el ganador final, el granadino Pablo Sánchez, que pertenece al Club Atletismo Unicaja, y que empleó un tiempo de 25 minutos y 3 segundos, y el atleta lucentino Antonio Montero Parejo, del Club Trotasierra de Hornachuelos, que quedó segundo clasificado a tan sólo 3 segundos del ganador con un tiempo total de 25 minutos y 6 segundos. La terna de ganadores la cerró el magrebí Mohamed Lansi parando el crono en 25:32. De esta manera, Antonio Montero se proclamó subcampeón en este importante cross nacional de Los Pechoches siendo además el primer corredor cordobés en cruzar la línea de meta.
