La concejal delegada de Medio Ambiente del Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Charo Valverde, presentaba las actividades que tendrán lugar en Lucena con motivo de la conmemoración del Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente, el próximo 5 de junio.
Valverde indicaba que únete al movimiento “Generación restauración” es una llamada a la participación, individual y colectiva para actuar en pos a la protección del medio ambiente, recordándonos que sólo existe una Tierra, y en ella somos la generación que puede hacer crecer los bosques, revitalizar las fuentes y restaurar los suelos.
Según la edil municipal, la Convención de las Naciones Unidas de Lucha contra la Desertificación, ha informado de que hasta el 40% de las zonas terrestres del planeta están degradadas, lo que afecta directamente a la mitad de la población mundial. El número y la duración de los períodos de sequía ha aumentado un 29% desde el año 2000. Por esta razón, el Día Mundial del Medio Ambiente se centrará este año en una llamada de atención en pos a la restauración de las tierras, detener la desertificación y fortalecer la resiliencia a la sequía bajo el lema “Nuestras tierras. Nuestro futuro. Somos la #GeneraciónRestauración» .
Dentro de las actividades organizadas por el Ayuntamiento, destaca la Eco-exposición “Sabías qué”… abierta a todos los públicos desde el 31 de mayo en la Casa de los Mora.
Un día antes, el 30 de mayo, podemos participar en un paseo clásico dentro del programa para el avistamiento de aves. También se organizará otra ruta por la ciudad, en este caso para adentrarnos en sus refugios a través de patios y jardines diversos. Denominada Refugios Urbanos tendrá lugar el 3 de junio. Completan este bloque sobre diversidad dos actividades dirigidas a sensibilización del público infantil y familiar a través de la literatura, en este caso mediante los cuentos “El árbol de la escuela”, el 6 de junio y el 11 de junio con “Santa fe y sus huevos color luna”. Ya el 27 de junio, la cita se abre a todas las edades para disfrutar de los atardeceres en las Reservas Naturales, con una ruta de la mano de Seo Bird life.
Paralelamente se han organizado una serie de talleres sobre Reciclado y Acción, Fitoplacton marino, envases de plástico y contaminación de los océanos.
La concejal de Medio Ambiente, anunciaba además que el próximo 3 de junio comienza el plazo para poder participar en el campamento urbano Aula de Naturaleza Verano 2024, dirigido a escolares de entre 6 y 12 años de edad. Se desarrollará durante 6 semanas, entre el 25 de junio y el 2 de agosto y el precio es de 17 euros por persona.
Las inscripciones para participar en las distintas actividades se deben de realizar a través de la página web de la delegación municipal de Medio Ambiente.
