Más de 80 jugadores participarán este sábado en el Día Local del Bádminton

El Pabellón Municipal de Deportes Antonio Ruiz-Canela Evangelista acoge el próximo sábado una nueva edición del Día Local de Bádminton

Durante la presentación de este Día Local de Bádminton, que ha reunido en el Ayuntamiento de Lucena al concejal de Deportes, Ángel Novillo, y el presidente del club lucentino, Juan Antonio Ramírez, se ha anunciado que a falta de 24 horas para cerrar las inscripciones la participación supera los 80 jugadores tras la invitación cursada a todos los clubes que disputan el Circuito Provincial de Bádminton.

Una jornada deportiva está diseñada para fomentar el deporte de la raqueta y la pluma siendo organizada por el Club Bádminton Lucena. Hasta Lucena llegará deportistas enrolados en los clubes de Rute, Montilla, Puente Genil, Villanueva de Córdoba, Baena y Córdoba capital, además del propio club anfitrión que aporta una veintena de jugadores.

“Estamos contentos por la respuesta del resto de clubes, algunos de ellos cuentan con jugadores compitiendo a nivel nacional e internacional y que confiamos en que nos ayuden a difundir este deporte mucho más en Lucena y por su comarca”

La competición tiene prevista su inicio a las 11 de la mañana, comenzando por los partidos de las categorías inferiores, Sub11 en adelante, hasta llegar a las rondas de sénior. Las inscripciones se han habilitado tanto a nivel individual como por parejas masculina, femenina y mixta, de modo que “un mismo jugador puede disfrutar de una buena jornada de bádminton hasta disputando 7-8 partidos”, ha destacado el presidente.

Desde el Servicio Municipal de Deportes (SMD), Ángel Novillo ha insistido en el agradecimiento a los clubes lucentinos

“por la permanente oferta de actividad deportiva en la ciudad, en esta ocasión con un deporte que se puede disputar a cualquier edad y que está en auge”

subrayando el concejal de Deportes el esfuerzo de muchas personas por recuperar de nuevo práctica de este deporte que vuelve a estar en auge en Lucena. En la actualidad, el Club Bádminton Lucena cuenta con 36 jugadores federados en competición en diferentes categorías.
