CSIF rechaza la decisión del Gobierno central de no finalizar las obras de la nueva sede de la Seguridad Social en Lucena

CSIF, sindicato más representativo en el Sector de la Administración General del Estado (AGE) en Córdoba, muestra su rechazo frontal a la decisión del Ministerio de Inclusión, Seguridad Social y Migraciones de abandonar el proyecto de construcción del nuevo edificio del Instituto Nacional de la Seguridad Social (INSS) en Lucena, cuya ubicación estaba prevista desde hace años entre las calles Zagrilla, Montilla y Carcabuey. La central sindical lleva tiempo reclamando la reactivación de las obras de este inmueble que se paralizaron en 2015 y que se encuentran a menos de un 20% de ejecución.

El responsable del Sector de AGE en CSIF en Córdoba, Vidal Muñoz, considera “errónea” la decisión del Ministerio debido a la importancia que tendría este edificio como nudo administrativo para centrar la actividad burocrática en torno a las gestiones de los ciudadanos en materia de prestaciones, trabajo y asuntos sociales, prestando servicio a los más de 42.000 habitantes que tiene Lucena, así como a otros miles de las localidades de alrededor.

Este representante sindical resalta que la apertura de estas nuevas oficinas de la Seguridad Social permitiría que los ciudadanos pudieran realizar todas las gestiones y los servicios referidos a este ámbito en un mismo lugar frente a la dispersión de centros que existe en la actualidad. “De esta manera, la unificación de todos los servicios de la Seguridad Social en una misma ubicación sería una de las principales ventajas de estas instalaciones, cuyo proyecto ahora se pretende abandonar por parte del Gobierno”, recalca Muñoz.

CSIF no entiende la postura del Ministerio cuando en noviembre de 2019 se licitó el proyecto básico y de ejecución de este edificio con un presupuesto de 240.079 euros y un plazo de ejecución de cuatro meses. Por todo ello, el sindicato reclama a la Administración central que rectifique esta decisión y reactive este proyecto tan importante para Lucena y su comarca a fin de que sus ciudadanos puedan realizar una amplia lista de trámites directos con la Seguridad Social, la mayoría de ellos relacionados con la solicitud o gestión de prestaciones económicas, tales como pensiones, bajas o convenios especiales, entre otras.
