Como cada año, el Pabellón de Deportes Antonio Ruiz-Canela Evangelista de Lucena fue el lugar idóneo para la celebración de la exhibición anual del Club Lucentino de Gimnasia y el posterior Trofeo de Gimnasia Artística Ciudad de Lucena que cumplía su octava edición. En este trofeo se concentraron los mejores clubes andaluces además de otros llegados desde Badajoz y Burgos haciendo una participación total de 210 gimnastas.
Del amplio abanico de categorías y aparatos destacar que el Club Lucentino de Gimnasia consiguió más de setenta medallas obteniendo 29 medallas de oro, 23 de plata y 19 de bronce, además de 11 trofeos como primer clasificado de la general, 7 trofeos de segundo clasificado y 5 de tercero.
De todos estos resultados conseguidos por el club de Lucena, cabe resaltar por su dificultad las 24 medallas conseguidas en el nivel Base. Precisamente, los gimnastas más destacados en este nivel de Base fueron Valentina Exojo y Celia Hernández en Base 1; Nazaret Hinojosa en Base 2; Teresa Muñoz en Base 3; Paula Baltanás en Base 4; Natalia Cabello en Base 5; Carmen Antrás en Base 6; Belén Jurado en Base 7 y Nuria Baltanás en Base 10.
