El Pabellón de Deportes Antonio Ruiz Canela Evangelista acogió la primera de las seis jornadas del Circuito Provincial de Bádminton para las categorías Sub15 y Sub17, con la participación de 13 representantes del Club Bádminton Lucena.
El torneo ha supuesto un éxito a nivel de participación con 55 jugadores/as de 6 clubes cordobeses de las localidades de Baena, Rute, Montilla, Villanueva de Córdoba y Lucena. Se han disputado un total de 84 partidos entre las distintas modalidades; individuales masculino y femenino, dobles masculino y femenino y dobles mixtos, de las categorías de Sub15 y Sub17.
Los dos clubes de Rute; Club Volante Rute y Club de Bádminton Rute se coparon en lo más alto del pódium, consiguiendo la mayoría de las medallas de oro. Por su parte, los jugadores-as del Club Bádminton Lucena consiguieron unos meritorios puestos en distintas categorías y modalidades:
- Dobles Mixtos Sub15: medalla de Plata para David Tellado y Gema Barea, y medalla de Bronce para Jaime Pérez y Fátima El Azar.
- Individual Masculino Sub17: medalla de Bronce para Alejando Barea.
- Dobles Femeninos Sub17: medalla de Bronce para Sara Esteo y María Ramírez.
