Carrefour celebra los días 5 y 6 de abril la operación kilo a favor del Banco de Alimentos

La Fundación Solidaridad Carrefour organiza los días 5 y 6 de abril su tradicional campaña “operación kilo” a beneficio de la Fundación Española del Banco de Alimentos al objeto de poder paliar las necesidades de las familias en situación de vulnerabilidad.

Carrfour aportará la misma cantidad que se recaude durante estas dos jornadas en una iniciativa que se repite cada año en los 206 himpermercados y más de 700 supermercados que la marca dispone en todo el territorio nacional. En 2018 la Fundación Carrefour hizo entrega de más de nueve millones y medio de toneladas de alimentos que tuvieron como destino a más de 95.000 personas en situación de exclusión social. El alcalde de Lucena, Juan Pérez ha invitado a toda la ciudadanía a participar en esta campaña solidaria que sin duda se convertirá en un motivo más para demostrar la solidaridad de Lucena y ha recordado que el pasado año se recaudaron en nuestra ciudad más de 3.000 kilos de alimentos.

En nombre del Banco de Alimentos, Antonio Moyano ha hablado de la importancia de sumarse al movimiento del voluntariado en nuestra ciudad y ha animado a ser solidario y mostrar confianza en el resultado de esta campaña toda vez que a pesar de que se muestren imágenes de alimentos desperdiciados, estos, solo representan el 5% mientras que el 95% restante sirve para aliviar las necesidades alimenticias de muchas personas. Moyano ha indicado que en Lucena, en el desarrollo de esta campaña participarán 52 voluntarios. Desde el Banco de Alimentos insisten en que lo más importante es aportar alimentos no perecederos como legumbres, leche, alimentos infantiles y aceite.
