Alsubjer reclama medidas legislativas para frenar la adicción a los juegos on line y las apuestas deportivas

Con motivo del “Día sin juego de azar” que se celebra el próximo 29 de octubre bajo el lema “juntos contra el juego patológico”, Alsubjer , que lleva funcionando en nuestra ciudad desde 2003 tratando de paliar la adicción al juego, ha puesto de manifiesto la problemática social que está generando en la actualidad el crecimiento de la adicción al juego on line y las apuestas deportivas y la falta de recurso para frenar esta patología.

La concejal delegada de Salud, Carmen Gallardo ha confirmado que existe un riesgo real para la sociedad con esta patología que día a día va en aumento y ha puesto el acento en la necesidad de adoptar medidas tendentes a frenar este problema mediante una regulación ordenada del horario de apertura y cierre de los establecimientos dedicados a este tipo de juego o el alejamiento de estos locales a más de 500 metros de centros educativos.

Raquel Rodríguez, trabajadora social de Albsujber ha explicado que esta asociación está trabajando para asesorar, informar y ayudar a la ciudadanía en torno a esta adicción prestando sus servicios con personal terapéutico y voluntarios que atienden en la sede de este colectivo de lunes a viernes de seis de la tarde a diez de la noche. En este sentido la asociación va a celebrar, en este mismo horario, tanto esta semana como la que viene, unas jornadas de puertas abiertas.

El día 26, Alsubjer saldrá a la calle con mesas informativas y cartelería para concienciar a la ciudadanía y ofrecer su apoyo a las personas que lo requieran. Rodríguez ha recordado que la sede está ubicada en el número 1 de Ronda Paseo Viejo y ha indicado que si bien el perfil del adicto al juego oscilaba entre los 45 a 60 años, en la actualidad se trata de jóvenes con edades comprendidas entre los 25 y los 35 años que presentan graves problemas de deudas y conflictos familiares.

El secretario de Alsubjer, Juan Redondo ha destacado que detrás de estos establecimientos y empresas dedicadas al juego on line y las apuestas deportivas hay grandes multinacionales haciendo negocio. Según Redondo, la Junta de Andalucía percibe en torno a 150 millones de euros en concepto de tasas por juego, cantidad que en el conjunto de Europa alcanza los 35.000 millones de euros.

Para el secretario de este colectivo, que además trabaja como monitor terapeuta, la mayoría de personas que sufren este problema son poli adictos y a su adicción al juego suman la del alcohol o la cocaína.
