AFA Nuestro Ángeles se suma a la conmemoración del Día del Alzheimer con una conferencia y mesas informativas

“#Evolución” ha sido el lema elegido por CEAFA para compartir con la sociedad sus reivindicaciones y propuestas durante el Día Mundial del Alzheimer. Con esta simple palabra busca la reflexión, pero, sobre todo, hacer tomar conciencia de que “los tiempos cambian” y, con ellos, todo lo relacionado con las demencias en general y con el Alzheimer en particular, así como con las consecuencias que genera en las personas y en la sociedad.

La enfermedad de Alzheimer se considera la nueva epidemia del siglo XXI. Se estima que cada año en la provincia de Córdoba se diagnostican 10.000 nuevos casos de esta enfermedad.  Desde la Asociación de Familiares de Enfermos de Alzheimer Nuestros Ángeles instalaban mesas informativas en la Plaza Nueva y el Centro de Salud para incidir en la importancia de la detección precoz de la enfermedad.

Las actividades en torno a este día se iniciaban ayer jueves con la conferencia “Deterioro cognitivo: La visión del especialista en medicina interna”; a cargo de Raimundo Tirado Miranda, Jefe de servicio de Medicina Interna del Hospital Infanta Margarita de Cabra. Ya el 19 de octubre se celebrará una paella solidaria con el Alzheimer en la caseta municipal.
