El Club Lucentino de Gimnasia deja buenas sensaciones en la Andalucía Gym Cup antesala del Campeonato de España

El pabellón de Deportes Ciudad Jardín de Málaga acogió la I Andalucía Gym Cup de gimnasia artística donde han participado 230 deportistas, juntando las categorías masculina y femenina.

Las edades de los competidores estaban comprendidas entre los 8 a los 20 años y han traído a Málaga a los principales gimnastas que preparan el Campeonato de España de la especialidad que se celebrará del 3 al 8 diciembre en Pamplona. Por este motivo, la representación nacional ha sido muy variada con clubes procedentes de Madrid, Asturias, Extremadura, Valencia, Baleares, Cataluña y Andalucía.

El Club Lucentino de Gimnasia, único representante cordobés en este evento, ha participado en la capital de la Costa del Sol con 13 deportistas (2 gimnastas en Vía Olímpica y 11 en categoría Base).

La categoría de féminas se desarrollaba con los aparatos de salto, asimétricas, barra y suelo, mientras que en el apartado masculino han competido en suelo, arcos, anillas, salto, paralelas y barra.

En la jornada del sábado, en la categoría Vía Olímpica, participaron las lucentinas Natalia Cabello y Belén Jurado, siendo esta última la que consiguió grandes resultados con sendas medallas de oro en los aparatos de suelo y paralelas, además de plata en salto y el 3º puesto de la clasificación general.

Por otra parte, en la matinal del domingo, en la categoría Base 5 participaron Nuria Baltanás, María Teresa Aguilar y Araceli Maillo siendo esta última la que consiguió una medalla de oro en salto.

Y en la jornada de tarde, en categoría Base 1 participaron las lucentinas Elisa Baena, Teresa Muñoz (bronce en suelo) y Aitana Lizana (plata en paralelas). En cuanto a la categoría Base 2 representaron al equipo de Lucena las gimnastas Leyre Paredes, Noura Saassaa, Carmen Baena, Julia Córdoba y Paula Baltanás, siendo esta deportista la más destacada con una medalla de oro en barra de equilibrio, una de plata en suelo, un bronce en salto y el 3º puesto en la clasificación general.

Después de dejar muy buenas sensaciones en esta Andalucía Gym Cup, el Club Lucentino de Gimnasia estará representado en Pamplona con 12 gimnastas que trataran de hacer un buen papel en el próximo Campeonato de España de Gimnasia.
