Las tres organizaciones dedicadas a la mejora de la accesibilidad coinciden en admitir que Lucena está ahora mejor que nunca

Ahora que corre vientos críticos sobre la accesibilidad en Lucena, desde las tres organizaciones que están luchando por la eliminación de las barreras (AMFE, COTA CERO y LUCENA CUESTARRIBA) se han propuesto romper una lanza a favor de este y el anterior equipo de gobierno del Ayuntamiento de Lucena.

La diferencia que existe entre la Lucena de hace cuatro años y la actual es simplemente abismal:

  • 19 calles intervenidas que se han convertido en accesibles,
  • 33 intervenciones en rondas y periferias que han creado un itinerario accesible alrededor del Centro Urbano,
  •  Innumerables establecimientos comerciales que han optado por eliminar sus barreras,
  • Casi todos los edificios públicos y gran parte de los relacionados con la administración están al servicio de todos los ciudadanos,
  • Ayudas técnicas para salvar barreras han sido instaladas en sitios de ocio y cultura, eventos culturales para el disfrute de todos.

Estos colectivos afirman que no hay en este país un ayuntamiento que se haya preocupado más por la accesibilidad que el lucentino y añaden que si bien es cierto que los barrios son en los que menos intervenciones se han realizado, también es cierto que desde estas asociaciones se está denunciando barreras existentes en las barriadas y recordándole al consistorio que los vecinos que viven lejos del centro también tienen derecho a la accesibilidad.
