Servicios Sociales destina 490.000 euros a más de 1.700 ayudas a lo largo de 2020

La concejal delegada de Servicios Sociales del Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Carmen Gallardo, detallaba las cuantías de las ayudas y los programas que se han puesto en marcha desde la delegación de Servicios Sociales a raíz  de la pandemia del Covid 19.

En este sentido, explicó que se han concedido más de 1.700 ayudas con una cuantía de 490.000 euros, más del doble de presupuesto del año anterior. Gallardo explicaba que en los últimos meses se han iniciado proyectos como  la mesa local de acción social en coordinación con Cáritas y el Comedor Social. También enumeró la organización de  programas de asesoramiento telefónico a mayores,  servicio de catering para el comedor social y familias confinadas o  adquisición de ropa de cama y material informático. Además, también se han destinado cuantías al programa de  becas escolares, ludotecas sociales o ayudas a los colectivos asistenciales.

La concejal delegada de Servicios Sociales indicó que espera que  el próximo año pueda entrar en funcionamiento la casa del transeúnte, ubicada en  el edificio que ocupaban los frailes junto al cementerio Nuestra Señora de Araceli. Esta infraestructura, según Gallardo será gestionada por Lucena Acoge gracias a una subvención de la Junta de Andalucía y cederá algunas de sus dependencias al Ayuntamiento de Lucena.

La edil de Servicios Sociales explicaba que la casa del transeúnte cuenta con seis habitaciones con baño incluido así como con otras dependencias comunes.  Ya se ha equipado con camas, colchones y nevera.
