Autismo Córdoba se abre a la provincia e inaugura mañana una sede en Lucena

Autismo Córdoba inaugurará mañana martes 8 de octubre, a las 10.30 horas, la sede de la delegación sur de la asociación en Lucena, un centro y un amplio programa de servicios, en los que esta entidad lleva trabajando varios años y que finalmente han podido ver la realidad. La sede de Autismo Córdoba-Delegación Surse encuentra ubicada en la Avda.  Luis Alberto de Cuenca, número 50. Su teléfono es el 957967393 y el horario es de lunes a viernes, de 17.00 a 20.00 horas, explica Antonio González, responsable de la asociación en esta zona de la provincia.

Autismo Córdoba se compone en la actualidad de cerca de 280 familias, una cifra que se ha multiplicado prácticamente por cinco en la última década, lo que “nos ha obligado a crecer y a dar cobertura a niños y jóvenes con trastorno del espectro del autismo (TEA) que residen más alejados de la capital, en la zona sur de la provincia, y requieren de los servicios y programas que ofertamos”, señala el presidente de Autismo Córdoba, Miguel Ángel López. “Queremos llegar a todas las familias que necesiten de nuestro apoyo y servicios, ya que somos el centro de referencia provincial del trastorno del espectro del autismo”, indica Miguel Ángel López.

Esas 280 familias cuentan con alguno o más miembros con TEA, con edades que van desde los doce meses hasta la etapa adulta. Y de este total de familias, aproximadamente un 25% no reside en la capital y alrededor del 70% viven en la Campiña (lo que incluye a la capital) y en la Subbética.

Antonio González, delegado de Autismo Córdoba en Lucena,  precisa que Autismo Córdoba está presente en esta localidad y su comarca desde hace más de dos años y destaca que en todo ese tiempo han sido atendidas más de 40 familias (aunque identificadas se tienen a más de 50), las cuales se han beneficiado de talleres y cursos formativos, entre otros servicios. Las familias que acuden a esta delegación sur son tanto de Lucena, como de otras localidades (Puente Genil, Cabra o Priego).

En la sede de Autismo Córdoba-Delegación Sur se presta servicio de atención social y de acogida; escuela de familias y atención psicológica y social a las familias, más servicio de gabinete, a cargo de psicólogos/as, psicopedagogos/as y logopedas para mejorar las habilidades socio-emocionales, comunicativas de autorregulación y autocontrol personal y/o de función ejecutiva de las personas con TEA, a través de terapias individualizadas y de la atención a sus familias.

El presidente de Autismo Córdoba recuerda que, aunque no existe un censo oficial, se estima que en Córdoba y provincia puede haber alrededor de 7.000 personas que presentan TEA, aunque no todas estén diagnosticadas y recibiendo las necesarias terapias para su mejor evolución. De ahí que Miguel Ángel López recuerde la importancia de asociarse a Autismo Córdoba para que cada vez más familias con algún miembro con TEA puedan caminar juntas por un futuro mejor.
