Miguel Cuenca Valdivia pregonará las Fiestas Aracelitanas de 2019

La Junta de Gobierno de la Real Archicofradía de María Santísima de Araceli ha acordado por unanimidad la designación de Miguel Cuenca Valdivia como pregonero de las Glorias a María Santísima de Araceli en 2019.

Como ocurre cada dos años, por una norma no escrita, la junta de gobierno debía elegir a un pregonero que no residiera en la localidad y, aunque bien es cierto que Miguel Cuenca Valdivia nació en Lucena, la mayor parte de su vida ha transcurrido fuera de su ciudad natal. Así mismo, la Junta de Gobierno ha valorado la estrecha vinculación del empresario a Lucena y la devoción que profesa a María Santísima de Araceli, una devoción de la que ha hecho partícipe a personalidades del ámbito económico y político nacional.

Miguel Cuenca Valdivia fue oferente de la Ofrenda de Frutos a María Santísima de Araceli en 1980, donde puso de manifiesto su devoción aracelitana al igual que manifestara en 1991 cuando su primogénita fue Aracelitana Mayor de las Fiestas Aracelitanas. Su permanente vinculación y trabajo por su ciudad natal le llevó ser reconocido como Hijo Predilecto de Lucena y la Subbética.

Miguel Cuenca Valdivia, Medalla de Oro al Mérito en el Trabajo en 2017, cursó sus estudios en el Colegio de los Hermanos Maristas de Lucena, en el Instituto Aguilar y Eslava de Cabra y se licenció en Derecho por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Es Graduado en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad de Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Programa de Alta Dirección en la Escuela de Negocios de la Universidad de Navarra, y ha desarrollado su actividad profesional por diferentes provincias españolas. Es miembro de los ilustres colegios de Abogados de Madrid y Lucena y miembro directivo del Foro Español Laboralista. Pertenece al Grupo Superior de Inspectores de Trabajo y Seguridad Social y ha sido presidente del Consejo Económico y Social de la provincia de Córdoba, Presidente de la Comisión Gestora de la Fundación Centro de Innovación y Tecnología de la Madera, Muebles y Afines de Andalucía, articulista de prensa y televisión y presentador del programa de Canal Sur TV “La Economía a Debate”.
