El domingo, día de la festividad del Corpus, tuvo lugar en nuestra ciudad la solemnísima función y gloriosa procesión del Santísimo Sacramento por las calles de nuestra ciudad.
Tras la función de las siete de la tarde y, en torno a las ocho y media de la ya tarde-noche, se ponía en marcha la comitiva, amplia comitiva que estaba formada por las hermandades de gloria, penitenciales, sacramentales, adoración nocturna, niños de primera comunión, la cofradía sacramental, el paso o carro con la sencilla, pero elegantísima custodia bajo su templete, no menos hermoso, en plata de ley y tras la cual encontrábamos la presidencia del clero local y, cerrando la comitiva, la corporación municipal y la banda de música de la ciudad.
Una procesión marcada, como es tónica en las últimas semanas, por las altas temperaturas y escaso público en las aceras aunque sí la procesión contó con una numerosa, como apuntamos anteriormente, representación y comitiva.
