En la tarde-noche del sábado día 03 de agosto, la imagen de Santo Domingo de Guzmán procesionó por las calles de su feligresía a hombros de santeros sobre el trono que es del Señor de la Caridad, hermandad la cual cedió su paso procesional para que lo luciera el titular de la parroquia de Santo Domingo.
Un hecho histórico ya que habitualmente la imagen del santo dominico no suele procesionar de forma ordinaria por las calles de Lucena y, para tal ocasión, contó con el acompañamiento musical de la banda de música de Casariche “Maestro Vitito”. La procesión discurrió por las calles de la feligresía, subiendo por Juan Jiménez Cuenca, el Agua (visitando la capilla de Dios Padre, sede de la hermandad de la Santa Fe), San Pedro (con visita a San Pedro Mártir, sede de la Venerable Archicofradía de Ntro. Padre Jesús Nazareno), Curados, el Peso, Aurora (con visita a la Venerable Cofradía de María Santísima de la Aurora), Cabrillana y, de nuevo, a su templo dominico.
