El material deportivo recogido en el II Torneo de Reyes “Zapatillas Solidarias” irá destinado a la ONG Lucena Acoge

El Club Baloncesto Lucena, con la colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Lucena a través del Servicio Deportivo Municipal y la concejalía de Servicios
Sociales y Salud, anuncia para el próximo día 2 de enero la segunda edición del Torneo de Reyes ‘Zapatillas Solidarias’.
En horario de mañana, la actividad se ha diseñado como una jornada de baloncesto con la presenciaen Lucena de varios clubes de la comarca y la provincia, algunos de ellos llegados desde Córdoba, para disputar partidos contra los equipos del equipo anfitrión en todas las categorías, desde baby hasta senior tanto masculino como femenino.
“En total, esperamos más de 20 equipos disfrutando del baloncesto solidario, con más de 300 jugadores en pista”, reconocía el presidente del Club Baloncesto Lucena, Antonio García, durante la presentación del torneo en compañía de la concejala de Servicios Sociales y Salud, Carmen Gallardo, y la coordinadora de Lucena Acoge, Sierra Cabello, representante de la oenegé local que este año recibirá la recaudación solidaria del torneo.
Siguiendo la estela del pasado año, cuando se puso en marcha este torneo navideño de baloncesto, las normas pasan porque cada jugador de los equipos en liza aporte ropa, material o zapatillas deportivas en buen estado que puedan convertirse en un regalo para otra persona, entrega solidaria también abierta al público que se acerque al pabellón y a empresas que quieran sumarse a esta cita. Incluso, desde el club se ha abierto una fila cero para donaciones en metálico a petición de algunas firmas.
Desde Lucena Acoge, su coordinadora ha asegurado que todo el material que se recaude se sumará a la campaña de recogida de juguetes que pusieron en marcha hace unas semanas, con la idea de que “la ropa y zapatillas que recibamos formen parte del lote de regalo que entregaremos por Reyes a cada de unas familias que en estos momentos reciben ayuda de nuestra asociación”. En la actualidad, la entidad gestiona 38 plazas de acogida para familias solicitantes de protección internacional más otras 12 plazas individuales para mujeres y hombres en situación de vulnerabilidad. Esta cita deportiva y solidaria comenzará a las 9:00 horas del próximo lunes 2 de enero, día festivo.
