Las obras cuentan con un presupuesto de 95.000 euros y un plazo de ejecución de tres meses
El concejal delegado de Obras del Ayuntamiento de Lucena, Javier Pineda, anunciaba la licitación, la próxima semana del proyecto de recuperación del parque del Cascajar. La intervención, que ha sido retomada por la actual corporación se centrará en la limpieza y desbroce de la zona, la instalación de saneamiento o la dotación de agua potable. También se pretenden instalar luminarias de alumbrado público y la creación de un parque canino. El precio de licitación se ha fijado en 94.959 euros y el objetivo, según Pineda, es llevar a cabo la actuación cuanto antes con el objeto de poner en valor este espacio verde de Lucena. Los trabajos se iniciarán en la zona este del parque.
Actualmente se ha revisado el proyecto redactado por la anterior corporación y presenta unas diferencias mínimas, según el edil de Obras. Además, anunció un estudio para poder replantar más árboles en esa zona.
