El alcalde y el presidente de la cooperativa nuestra Señora de Araceli renuevan el convenio de colaboración para evitar los robos en el campo
Con un presupuesto total de 40.000 euros se pone en marcha una nueva edición del dispositivo de vigilancia del olivar ante el inicio de la campaña de recogida de aceituna. El ayuntamiento de Lucena colabora con las cooperativas aportando un total de 16.000 euros. También participa en la financiación el ayuntamiento de Monturque con 2.500 euros y el resto lo aportan las cooperativas Nuestra Señora de Araceli y Olivarera de Lucena.
El presidente de la Cooperativa Nuestra Señora de Araceli, Antonio Aguilera explicaba que el dispositivo de guardería rural se extiende por las 28.000 hectáreas con las que cuenta el término municipal de Lucena junto con territorios de Moriles y Monturque. En este dispositivo están presentes la Guardia Civil a través del equipo Roca junto con efectivos de Policía Nacional y Policía Local, a lo que se suman los guardas rurales contratados por las cooperativas lucentinas.
Aguilera destacaba la necesidad de que los agricultores se pongan en contacto con estos guardas si ven alguna situación extraña y poder prevenir este tipo de robos.
El presidente de la Cooperativa Nuestra Señora de Araceli, indicó que las aceitunas que se recuperan se muelen y el aceite se destina a las distintas Cáritas.
El alcalde de Lucena, Aurelio Fernández explicaba que el objeto del convenio es el de fortalecer la vigilancia para conseguir un campo y una campaña segura. Fernández destacaba el importante número de familias que viven en Lucena de la labor agrícola deseando que la campaña de recogida de aceitunas discurra con normalidad.
