CD Ciudad de Lucena y Xerez CD se repartieron los puntos en el duelo estelar de la trigésimo segunda jornada de liga en el Grupo X de Tercera Federación.

Desde hace tiempo se esperaba con mucho interés, el partido más decisivo e importante de la temporada, el que enfrentaba al líder y al segundo clasificado. Un duelo apasionante y con el ascenso directo en juego que congregó a cerca de 4.000 espectadores en el estadio Ciudad de Lucena (1.500 xerecistas), en un ambiente espectacular y más propio de otra categoría superior.

Desde el principio se notaba que no era un partido como los demás, con un Ciudad de Lucena más fallón de lo normal y un Xerez con las ideas claras desde el primer minuto.

Pasado el primer cuarto de hora de desconcierto, el equipo lucentino comenzó a despertar y sacudirse el dominio visitante. Sin tener un juego demasiado continuo, el Ciudad de Lucena goza de alguna aproximación como, en el minuto 30, un remate de cabeza de Alberto García que detiene el guardameta Isma Gil. Seguidamente, otro remate de cabeza de Dieguito se marcha a la derecha de la portería xerecista. Y antes del descanso, buena internada en el área de Ricky Wagner que no culmina por poco Alberto García.

En la segunda parte, el Xerez volvió a tomar el mando del partido mostrándose mejor que un Ciudad de Lucena incapaz de tener la pelota y consecuentemente de llegar al área contraria. Un equipo lucentino que, con el playoff garantizado, se mostró menos ambicioso de lo que podíamos pensar teniendo en cuenta que estaba en juego el ascenso directo.

A pesar de todo, en los dos equipos se impusieron claramente las defensas a los ataques ya que, en este segundo periodo no hubo ninguna oportunidad clara para romper el empate sin goles.

Al final, justo reparto de puntos que beneficia mucho más al Xerez CD que se mantiene líder y, a falta de dos jornadas para el final, depende de sí mismo para ser campeón. Por su parte, el Ciudad de Lucena debe seguir intentándolo hasta el final teniendo que buscar el triunfo este domingo en Ceuta a las 12 de la mañana para seguir manteniendo opciones de subir de forma directa.
