Primera victoria de la temporada para el Visobath Al-Yussana, en la difícil pista del filial del Córdoba Club Baloncesto, la primera del club lucentino en la categoría de Primera Nacional. Un encuentro de máxima igualdad que se decidió en la prórroga.
En el primer cuarto, el equipo de la capital empezó consiguiendo ligeras ventajas en el marcador, aunque rápidamente eran reducidas por los lucentinos finalizando el primer cuarto 17-15. Durante el segundo parcial, el Baloncesto Córdoba mostró mucha más claridad en ataque logrando superar los 10 puntos de ventaja en el luminoso. A pesar de esas diferencias, el equipo de Lucena pudo reducir el tanteo para llegar al descanso con sólo 5 puntos de desventaja (32-27).
Ya en el segundo periodo, el Al-Yussana subió su nivel defensivo y esto, unido al acierto en ataque igualó todavía más el resultado. Con ligeras ventajas en el marcador, al final del tercer cuarto, el resultado seguía favorable al equipo cordobés (51-50).
Comenzaba el último cuarto con el filial cordobés volviendo a despegarse en el marcador, pero el Al-Yussana no se arrugó y tras una serie de buenas acciones de su base Walter conseguía volver a ponerse por delante. Se llegaba al último minuto y medio con 4 puntos de ventaja, pero una serie de malas acciones hicieron que el partido se fuera a la prórroga, (71-71).
Un tiempo extra en el que los lucentinos estuvieron mejor en ambos lados de la pista. A falta de un minuto para el final de la prórroga, 5 puntos consecutivos de David Cazorla resultaron determinantes para llevarse la victoria por 76-84.
El MVP del partido fue para Igor Da Silva con 36 de valoración (22 puntos y 23 rebotes), unas estadísticas que le han servido al jugador lucentino para ser el MVP a nivel de Andalucía en esta categoría de Primera Nacional. El próximo domingo (12:30 horas), el Visobath Al-Yussana recibe en el pabellón de Deportes Antonio Ruiz Canela al CB Benalmádena, en un partido de la 4ª jornada de liga.
